WEC International has a three fold vision:

Proclaim the gospel in word and deed, amongst unreached peoples so they come to know Jesus as Lord
Gather believers together into communities known as churches, which are culturally relevant expressions, founded in the Word of God and who seek to disciple others
Enthuse others about missions, recruit, train, partner with churches in sending, and care for our members

In 1913, CT & Priscilla Studd founded the Heart of Africa mission but because of the need throughout the world it was soon renamed the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade. In 1922, the Australian council was formed. In 1956, the Tasmanian Missionary Training College was established. In 1982 the mission was named WEC International where WEC stands for Worldwide Evangelisation for Christ. In 2020, International Teams Australia and the Sydney Refugee Team became part of WEC Australia. Throughout these years, many ministries and mission bases were established around Australia and the World.

Ministries include:

• WEC Hope - initiate biblically based ministries and fundraising for the purpose of relieving poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, disability or helplessness of people in the community of Australia.
• Sydney Refugee Team - shares the hope of Jesus in practical ways to people seeking asylum and refuge in Sydney.
• Betel - is dedicated to restoring broken lives. Betel runs residential programs for those struggling with substance addiction in around 20 countries.
• Operation World - equips and resources believers to respond to God's call for His people to pray. Operation World provides the definitive prayer guide to every nation.
• Arts Release - is a collective of people who enjoy creative arts, and who love Jesus and people of other cultures. We enjoy expressing God's love through various art forms whether utlising professional arts training or skills learnt throughout life.
• Planters - promotes collaboration among indigenous church planters working in least evangelised peoples in the world. We're involved in assisting networking, theological and missiological training, church planting materials, and strategy building.
• International Mission Mobilisation - is involved in mobilising missionaries from all corners of the globe to go to all corners of the globe. IMM is involved in planting mission, training for missions, and praying for missions.
• Crisis Care Training International - believes that being equipped to practice trauma informed care is vital for working with children in any global context. CCTI provides Christ centred training and resources for working with children.
