CRMF (Christian Radio Missionary Fellowship) is an international, inter-denominational mission organisation, founded in Australia in 1946.

CRMF-PNG started in 1951 to provide a technical support service to churches and missions throughout PNG. Our staff consists of both expatriate missionaries and Papua New Guineans working together to serve God. We are a Christian service organisation and not a commercial company. However we operate in many ways like a small business. We charge for some of the work we do for churches and missions, but our charges are much lower than commercial companies. All our staff are committed Christians who see their work as service for God, not just a job to make money.

In a country of limited conventional telephone services and few roads, CRMF seeks to meet the communications needs of remote communities by providing the following services for about 50 Churches and Missions:

* HF (high frequency) radio which enables reliable country-wide communication
* VHF (very high frequency) radio which enables 'local calls'
* satellite phone for instant world-wide telecommunication
* Radio Email to remote locations via HF radio (rather than using a telephone connection to the server)

Over 900 outstation radio transceivers are located in missionaries homes, offices, hospitals, aircraft, boats/ships, and in dense bush (when the church worker is out on trek).
