For over 50 years, Compassion has been working through
committed sponsors and caring local churches in developing countries
to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. In that
time well over a million children have received food, education,
health care and heard the Gospel.
Here are some of the things that Child Sponsorship provides:
- Emergency medical
Provides life-saving or corrective surgery and meets other extraordinary
health needs of Compassion-assisted children.
- Bibles and Bible literature
Scripture and Bibles to Compassion-assisted children and their
families and project workers.
- Partner-church development
Programs to enhance partner churches’ ministry to children.
- Parent education
Equipping parents of guardians of Compassion-assisted children.
- Education Fund
Grants to youths to complete secondary schooling due to insufficient
support money or to meet other extraordinary education costs
- Advocacy
Funding for opportunities to participate in or create forums
and conferences to share and learn about children’s issues
related to effective development.
- Unsponsored children
Temporary financial assistance for registered children waiting
for sponsorship.
